Preparation
- Sauté the bacon until golden brown. Remove from the pan and set aside. Use the same pan to sauté the onions in the bacon fat and set aside.
- For the crème fraiche and cheese spread: whisk the QimiQ Sauce Base with the crème fraîche, egg yolk and cheese until smooth. Season to taste with salt and pepper and allow to chill well.
- For the naan bread: whisk the unchilled QimiQ Classic smooth. Add the milk, water, oil, sugar and salt and mix well.
- Combine the flour and baking powder, add to the QimiQ mixture and knead to form a smooth dough. Allow to rest for 1 hour.
- Portion the dough, shape into oblong flat pieces and place onto a baking tray lined with baking paper.
- Spread with the QimiQ mixture. Top with the fried bacon and onions and bake for approx. 7 minutes until golden brown.
- Cut into squares and garnish with spring onions, cherry tomatoes, black olives and basil. Serve.
Hints
- Cream cheese can be used instead of crème fraiche.
