Ingredients for 1 cake tin 26 cm Ø
  • 125 g QimiQ Classic
  • 730 g Pumpkin, diced
  • 20 g Butter
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 80 ml Orange juice
  • 0.5 Orange(s), finely grated zest
  • 1 small pinch(es) Ginger root, finely chopped
  • 120 ml Vegetable stock
  • 100 g Streaky bacon, finely diced
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 package Fresh savoury shortcrust pastry
Preheat the oven to 180 °C (conventional oven).
Sauté the pumpkin in the butter. Add the sugar, orange juice, orange zest, ginger and vegetable stock and allow to simmer until the pumpkin is soft.
Blend the pumpkin smooth. Season to taste and refine with QimiQ Classic. Fold in the bacon cubes.
Place the shortcrust pastry into a greased cake tin and pour in the pumpkin puree.
Bake in the preheated oven for approx. 35 minutes.
