Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350 °F (conventional oven) and prepare the pastry according to the instructions on the package.
- For the filling: mix the QimiQ Sauce Base together with the quark, icing sugar, vanilla sugar, egg yolks, vanilla custard powder, lemon zest and salt.
- Whisk the egg whites until stiff and fold into the QimiQ mixture.
- Place 2 pastry sheets for each strudel overlapping each other for approx. 2 cm. Brush with the melted butter and place the filling in a line along the edge of the pastry and roll into a strudel with the help of the tea towel. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
- Brush with melted butter and bake in the preheated oven for approx. 30 minutes.
